Indonesia, Java, Solo, Female artisanal worker applying hot wax patterns on cloth using a wax pen or so called canting. She sits on a low stool and the fabric she is working on is draped over light bamboo frames to allow the freshly applied wax to cool and harden. During the production process batik is waxed on both sides.
